Manannan Mac Lir

 

Son of the Irish sea god Lir, he took his name from the Isle of Man.
Magician, healer, sea god and noble warrior, he was married to the great beauty Fand. He rode the waves in a self-propelled boat called 'wave sweeper'. As a sea god he was able to control the seas for voyagers and sometimes appeared to them on the outset of their trips.
