Diarmait Ua Duibne : (Diarmaid of the Love Spot)
Foster son of the Love God Aonghus, his mortal father gave him to the god as a child, a gift that was returned when Diarmait received his famous Love Spot that made him irresistible to women. One night he and some hunting pals, took shelter in a hut in a forest. A beautiful young girl lived there along with an old man, his cat, and a gelded sheep. She choose Diarmait to sleep with, declaring that she was Youth and put the Love Spot on his head.
Diarmait's best known story was the elopement with Grainne, daughter of the High King Cormac Mac Art, while she was bethrothed to Finn MacCool. They were pursued all over Ireland for 15 years till Dairmait was gored by a magical wild boar and allowed to die by Finn MacCool, who refused to fetch him healing waters.
