Bran
Voyaging hero, Bran found a silver branch covered with with flowers
which summoned up a mystical woman who told him about the Lands of Happiness,
inhabitated by beautiful women who had no knowledge of sorrow, sickness
or death.
He and his crew sailed to find these lands, they first found the Isle
of Merriment, where the crew could barely stand up for laughing, then
they reached the Isle of Women. Bran was afraid to step ashore but the
chief woman pulled the ship in using a ball of magic thread.They stayed,
as they thought for a short while, in idyllic happiness on this island,
however when they returned home they discovered that centuries had passed,
and now they were no more than a legendary figures.
