Owain
From Welsh mythology, Owain was one of King Arthur's warriors. After
a battle with the mysterious Black Knight, he was saved from imprisonment
in the Black Castle by Luned, who gave him a ring of invisibility.
When the Black Knight died from the wounds inflicted by Sir Owain,
Luned helped him to marry the Black Kight's widow and he became the
master of the Castle of the Fountain. When Owain returned to King
Arthur's court he forgot about his wife, till one day, she arrived
at the court accusing Owain of deceit, treachery and unfaithfulness.
Remorsefully, he fled into the forest to live a life of a hermit and
after many adventures with a friendly lion, which included slaying
a giant and a dragon, as well as rescuing his old friend Luned from
death by burning, he returned to his wife and all was forgiven.
